Frequently asked questions
I offer complimentary 15-minute phone consultations to help us get acquainted and determine whether my approach feels like the right fit for your needs. If we both feel comfortable moving forward, we can schedule an initial session to begin our work together. It’s completely normal for it to take a few sessions to see if we’re the right match, and if at any point we decide another provider may be a better fit, I’ll gladly offer you referrals to other professionals.
I am licensed to practice in New York and Colorado.
I am also authorized to provide telehealth services in all participating PSYPACT states*. Click here to learn more.

Therapy sessions occur weekly at the start of the therapy process, with the goal of reducing session frequency as you meet your therapeutic goals.
Standard therapy sessions are 50 minutes, with the option of extended 90-minute sessions for clients engaging in exposure therapy. Family and couples sessions are typically 60 minutes. Together, we’ll decide on the session length that best supports your needs and goals.
I am currently an in-network provider with Aetna, Optum, and United Healthcare insurance plans.
For self pay clients, my rate is $210 for standard 50-minute sessions. For those with out-of-network benefits, I can provide a detailed superbill that can be submitted for reimbursement from your insurance company.
Questions to Ask Your Insurance Company If you’re considering using out-of-network benefits, here are some helpful questions to ask your insurance provider:
Do I have out-of-network coverage for mental or behavioral health services?
What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed?
Is there a limit to the number of sessions covered per year?
Is there a maximum “allowed amount” for each session?
Do I need to meet a deductible before reimbursement begins?
The time we reserve for your session each week is set aside specifically for you. I understand that life can be unpredictable, so if you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice—or missed appointments—will be billed at the full session rate.
Absolutely! With your written consent, I will coordinate with your psychiatrist, or other specialists to ensure the highest level of care. When I work with adolescents, I regularly collaborate with parents, school counselors and teachers.
Please note that I do not provide crisis services or after-hours support. I respond to all calls and emails within 24–48 business hours. If you are in a clinical emergency or feel that you or someone else may be in danger, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room immediately.
Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that explains the expected cost of your medical care.
If you do not have insurance or choose not to use insurance for scheduled, non-emergency health care services, health care providers and facilities are required to give you a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges at least one business day before your scheduled service. The Good Faith Estimate should reflect the total expected charges for non-emergency medical items and services.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate
If you are uninsured or not using insurance and receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
Please be sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
